Mont St. Michel

I realize that is quite a few photos of the same thing, but you just have to see Mont St. Michel with nothing around. It was really quite beautiful.
We spent the day walking through the village streets and browsing in shops.
We also toured the abbey.

That is really incredible! Breathtaking. I love the progression of pictures. Is it just full of tourist trap shops or still fairly authentic?

Oh WOW! I haven't been online for a few days so I'm playing catch up and what a beautiful way to catch up! Amazing!
I love the pics of Ashlyn playing among the columns.

I loved Normandy. Did you stay and watch the tide come in around Mont St. Michel. It is an incredible sight. I would love to go back again. I never realized a cemetery could affect me that much. I would move to Normandy if I knew more than 5 phrases of french.

The shops were pretty touristy, but it didn't take away from the trip at all. I was glad that we got there sort of early, because it was super packed by the time we left. (holiday weekend)

We weren't able to stay for the tides. That would have been nice. It would probably be good to stay closer so you could see it late, too.

Very cool. Jennifer has said for years that Paris does not appeal to her as a destination. I think a few days there would change her mind. Mont St. Michel and Normandy are on my list of places to visit in France.

Christopher has gotten so big. The last time I checked in you were working on the collage. And Ashlyn is a little girl now! That point where our baby girls become little girls is such a wonder.
