Castle Visit

Neuschwanstein
Disclaimer: I did not take this photo-Stock photography (We also didn't see this view of the castle. I think you would have needed to be in an aircraft to see it from here.)

My parents arrived on Friday morning. After giving them a couple of days to kind of get adjusted to the time change, we headed out to see two of Germany's more famous castles, Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. Neuschwanstein is the more famous of the two castles, but they are right there together. Our plan was to look at the first from the outside and tour the other. However, today was much more crowded than we had anticipated, and we were unable to get tickets into Neuschwanstein. We had really gotten Ashlyn excited about getting to see a castle "like Cinderella's," so I was glad that we were at least able to see one of them. She was really good all day, and then napped on the way home, though she did complain a little bit about not getting to see the white castle.

And, one more picture of the castle we didn't get to tour in the background

Wow, the castles are beautiful. Too bad you didn't get to see both. But, I'm sure you will, eventually. I did a double take when I saw the picture of Ashlyn sleeping. Liv has the same carseat and hat. We have a picture nearly identical to that one. Too funny.

Looks like a great trip. The castles are so beautiful that I mad Chris and his brother come over to the computer to look at them. 2 more days until you have another sweet babe in your arms... Can't wait. I hope Allen is ready to update the blog.
