Critters!

_LE82513, originally uploaded by Lothar Lenz.

I knew there was a potential problem with critters around here. There is a type of weasel called a marder (relative to a ferret) that can get into your car and eat the tires or wires or something. However, I did not know that they could get all the way into your car! As in the seats! The reason I know that this creature was in my car was because he pooped in there and snacked on Ashlyn's car seat (her pretty, expensive car seat.) I found the problem this morning as we were about to leave. I was so freaked out that it could get in the car, I wanted to tuck my feet up so it couldn't get me. Later, I find out that they are closer to the size of a small cat. Yuck, it could have just jumped into my lap, or grabbed ahold of Ashlyn's ankle. NO RODENTS, WEASELS or whatever IN THE CAR!!!!!

I did buy some spray that is supposed to keep them out, as well as some type of electronic device that will be installed tomorrow to keep them away. Anything else that might work will be done. I was told that the electronic device would be enough by itself, but how does that work when the car is off? I'm taking NO chances.

Yikes! That does not sound like fun at all! Hope the gadget works and your car remains critter free from now on!

Make sure your varmit spray is safe for pregnant women.

Good thing you have a great stroller now! You can just walk everywhere. Ha, ha! ;)

Eww. I feel squirmy just thinking about it. Oh, and the carseat. Is it really bad? What a great print - not sure how much it would cost to replace the cover.

Very interesting Angie! I guess you have different critters in all parts of the world. I guess that is the only positive thing as far as the temperatures here right now...at least they wouldn't survive.. ha ha! Hang in there!
