You have been so excited about turning five. You've had your party planned and have talked about starting "American kindergarten" for more than a year.
I keep telling you to stop growing up so fast.
You are still as dramatic as ever, loving all things princess, dance, and now Barbie.
This past year, you've learned to write and know all of your letter sounds. I think you will be reading so soon.
I'm amazed at how you learn. Sometimes, you just need one little thing to give you confidence, and it all clicks for you.
You've also gone from avoiding the camera to asking me to take pictures, posing and hamming it up.
You have your own sense of style, accessorizing your outfits each day, which almost always includes a dress.

Five is such a BIG deal to you, and you are always saying, "I'm a big five year old girl." It is a big deal, baby girl. Happy (late) Birthday!

Angie, that is so sweet. It made me a little teary, too. I am right there with you. Elizabeth turned five in March and I cannot believe it. It goes so fast that I wish I could slow it down somehow, and some days, I wish I could do it over again, too, and do it better. Miss you, my friend. I think Ashlyn is a very blessed little girl to have you for a mommy.
