... the rest of the story

Many of you already know our news, or at least part of it, but for those who don't...

Allen did get out of the Army. We were looking forward to civilian life and living near family. However, we left Germany jobless and homeless. We've been staying with my parents for the past month. Allen has been job hunting, obviously. As of last week, he has accepted a job in California. Yeah, that isn't near family. However, this job is just a year contract position. We are hoping that it will lead to a job closer to family around this time next year. So, one more adventure before (hopefully) settling.

Thanks for the update. I'm sure this is a tough transition: military to civilian, Europe to US, own home to parents/in-laws. I'll keep you in my prayers. I'm sure you will be able to look back on this time and see God working through this time in a really great way.

I was surprised. I thought you were moving to Kansas. We lived in CA for one year and LOVED it...we were in Monterey, CA. Best wishes to you...life is one adventure after the other.

Congratulations! And hey, CA is much closer than Germany... you're just moving home in stages. Enjoy it, I hear it's beautiful.

Near home...? your family and your extended family are within the contiguous borders of the US. (I've always wanted to use that word contiguous...!).

Missing all of you very much!
