34, and already behind

Most people reflect back on their year on the first day of the new year, as well as forward to the new year. I decided that since I am 34 today, on the second day of 2009, that would work just as well.

In my 34th year, I had a new baby and traveled to 5 new countries. Ashlyn started kindergarten, and I made 4 quilts. My 35th year will bring more major changes, as our little family will be moving again. We will be starting a whole new life, really. I am most looking forward to introducing my little guy to his aunts, uncles, and cousins. And reintroducing Ashlyn to all of them as well, and a few that she hasn't met, either. My hope for this year is that I can relax and enjoy my family, without stressing about things over which I have no control. I also hope to have more patience with my children, play more games, read more books.

My resolutions last year were to back up my photos onto an online site, and put photos from the year into a photo book. I failed on both counts. I didn't even start putting photos online. While I did begin a photo book for 2007, I only made it to May. Now it is 2009 and I have much more to do. So, these will be my goals again. Except, my goal is to put my photos online by the end of the month. Procrastination will not be allowed for more than a month. I would like to finish my photo book for 2007 by end of the month as well, but that might be a bit too ambitious.

Also, to not get anymore behind I am posting the rest of our photos from 2008 below this.

Happy Birthday.

Just about the same resolutions here. Except, now we're not quite sure we're moving. I'll post about it in March, when we decide.

Happy Birthday, Angie!!

I love looking back at resolutions unmet and realizing you still had a wonderful, amazing year. That's why I don't even bother with resolutions! :) Good luck, though! I was just wondering a couple days ago if you had success with any photo books. I'm also interested in blog publishers. I think it would be cool to have a copy of our blog in book-form to keep as a scrapbook. Heard anything about that?

Holly,
I looked at company for printing my blog, but I couldn't figure out a way to only do a year at a time or something. A year ago, my blog would have been over 300 pages, so that seemed a bit much!

Katie,
I am uploading all photos to shutterfly, mostly because I can upload stuff to them quickly. I like their photo books pretty well, plus they are always on sale. I am also working on a big photo book through blurb. I'll post about it when I finish it this month!
