Two Children

I have one child who has been sleeping since about 8. I don't expect to be disturbed by this child until morning (but maybe very early morning.)

I have another child who hasn't gone to sleep yet (it's almost 11.) One problem or another seems to be keeping this child awake and crying. I expect that this child will keep me from going to sleep for awhile longer and probably will have me up early in the morning. This child is two.

Oh, wow. I thought for sure the night owl would be an INFANT. What is keeping Ashlyn up??

Stinker!! Is Allen around to help you?

We have sleep issues here that I've failed to write about. In fact, last night was the easiest night in a while. Lila mostly. But, often they wake each other up or Liv has a dream about princesses or bad guys and it is downhill from there. I've hardly got any sleep in a week and we have construction guys working on the house who have asked me to skip the girls naps next week so they can work on the windows/doors upstairs. Matt has told me to tell them to take a late lunch b/c there is NO way we're skipping naps or trying to get them to nap together in the play room. I don't know how I could manage a week of no naps on top of the bad nights we've been having!

That sucks! It seems like she has had sleep issues ever since moving to Germany. Looks like you guys better get reassigned for sanity sake. I'm sure the Army would go for that, don't you think?

Hey beautiful - don't you just love big happy babies - Jackson had those leg rolls too. He has been a bit off on the sleeping since moving countries. First the time difference threw him for a loop, and now most nights he wakes around 5 ish then cries for me to come get him and we snuggle back to sleep for a couple of hours. He has also been sick - first a bout of vomiting which both me and Bob then got (it was awful!) and now he is teething and has a cold which is on its 4th day now. so that isn't helping the whole sleeping thing either. Hey maybe Ashlyn also likes having you all to herself once baby Christopher is down for the night? she knows you will give her all your attention as the baby isn't around.
love you heaps and hope to call soon to chat.christal

That was so funny (in the sense that I was reading it, and not living it, probably). And I was feeling sorry for myself because Beth, my five-star three-hour napper, refused to nap today, and I'm unusually tired from the time change. She has made me spoiled; it's all her fault.

Kiss those sleepy/unsleepy babies for me!

Well, it wouldn't let me post my name. So make that baby kisses from Amanda (and Beth!)

Um no, Allen's not here. I wouldn't even have been writing this post if he was. I think I would have been sleeping or at least less frustrated because we can trade off sleeping. A few of the times that I went in there, Ashlyn was crying for her daddy.

Ashlyn stayed up until nearly midnight was up before 6 the next morning. Exhausted child.

Yes, Laura, I'm certain the army would be understanding.

Amanda, I knew it was you. Babies are all currently sleeping.

Don't you wish they could stay a cute, smiley, cuddly, good-sleeping 3 month old forever?

I am still in shock that Christopher is already sleeping through the night. That is awesome. Hope Ash is sleeping better now.
