First Words?

I'm not sure if Ashlyn is saying her first words or not. She has been repeating different sounds for months, but I didn't really feel like those counted. Now, I'm not so sure. For the past couple of weeks, she has been saying "daw" to the dog. She was kind of saying the same thing to the cat, but it has now turned into "dat." She started saying "dad" as well. (Obviously, we like the "d" sound.) While we were talking to Allen on the webcam the other day, she kept saying dad over and over to him. She said it quite a bit as well while she was watching him read to her on video this morning. Hmmm. When she is upset, she says "mamamama." I don't know when to count these. What do you think?

She's beautiful! Congratulations!

I'm glad someone finally made me an uncle, dammit! I've heard about your webpage for a couple of years, but I couldn't get anyone to ever remember to email me the link, kinda like you told them not to. ;) For some reason, you don't show up prominently in Google searches...

I haven't made that road trip to Alaska yet, but since I know you've got moose looking in your windows, I just might have to do that. I went up in the north woods of Canada three different times and never saw one. I had to accidentally stumble on one in Idaho a few years ago, when I couldn't go to Yellowstone one morning because of snow.

All my best,
Brian

I'm so glad to hear from you, Brian! You have got to email me so we can catch up. I am leaving it open on the blog for people to email me directly for a limited time. I have enough wackos emailing me with offers of viagra!
