Convicts and Sea Lions

On Tuesday, we went to San Francisco, headed to Fisherman's Wharf. The kids always like seeing the sea lions on Pier 39. Recently, the number of sea lions has gone way up, around 1500. They were really piled up.

The kids liked it, but Bob just thought it was gross. They really did stink.

After lunch, we took a boat to Alcatraz.
It was smaller than I expected and not creepy.
Hardened criminals

View of Golden Gate Bridge from Alcatraz. (Ashlyn slept through the entire tour and return trip.)

Christopher looks like the cutest little convict with his jailhouse stripe sweatshirt.

So neat that the kids are close to grandparents! Looks like fun.

Angie, Michael and I visited Alcatraz when we were still dating! I remember thinking how creepy it was to be heading out that way but so neat to see!! Hope you all had a good time.

Love the pics. It's a fun journey to Alcatraz. Glad to see the family enjoyed it. We went on a chilly day. Looks like you guys had good weather.
