First Day of School

Ashlyn started preschool today. She was so ready, and I was so ready for her to go, too. She only goes 2 1/2 hours, 3 afternoons a week. The afternoon thing was rough. All morning she kept asking when she was going. I told her the time, so she changed the time on the clock in her kitchen. I had to keep showing her what time it was on my watch and phone, etc. She didn't even eat lunch, she was so excited. Here she is with her new teacher.
Afterward, Ashlyn was happy to tell me about playing with toys and friends, and she was singing a song from preschool at dinner.

On a less positive note, this was the First Day of preschool. We also had a short meet and greet last week. We already received a notice that the kids have been exposed to whooping cough.

Whooping cough. Great!

Liv is hot and cold about preschool. Sometimes she doesn't want to go and then when I pick her up, screams to stay. Urgh. Can't figure that kid out. Oh, and she's taken to dressing herself and today was the first day she wore something I approved of. A plain green dress - though she added pink sparkly "dress" shoes. I hope that the teachers change her into the tights and proper shoes I brought before school pictuers today!

I love Ashlyn's smile with her teacher.

That's cute how excited Ashlyn was. Daniel is in afternoon Kindergarten and has been impatient, too. I love it when kids love school!

We have all been healthy here for about 3 months. It's been wonderful. Now that school and PWOC has started, the boys all have runny noses. Bummer!

I remember when Kate started Kindergarten we talked for days about it, she was so excited, had the best time and LOVED her teacher and new friends. Then that night I was talking about going to school the next day and she was stunned! She looked at me and said...." you mean I have to go back AGAIN?" I guess she thought it was a one time thing!!! The best laid plans........
