More Paris

Our next morning our plan was to try to get to the Eiffel tower early, before the lines were so long. There weren't crowds, but it was raining and windy. As we stood under the tower, Ashlyn said that she was "freezing." We decided that if we were freezing on the ground, it probably would be miserable up in the tower.

After retrieving our stroller from the apartment, we went to the Musee d 'Orsay. The lines were already long (still in the rain,) but one of the museum employees pulled people with strollers to the front. Good time to be with babies! We spent most of the day in the museum, including lunch in their beautiful restaurant. This museum was much smaller and more enjoyable, though far too many people seemed to have cameras and were busier taking photos of the paintings than studying them. I don't have patience for this (do you really think your little point and shoot camera without flash is going to take a good photo? Buy a postcard.) and think that cameras should just be banned in all art museums. I still enjoyed the museum, and Ashlyn and Christopher conked out in the stroller.

After dinner we went to a creperie near our apartment. Ashlyn was more interested in the ice cream on top of the crepe. More for me.

The next day we took a train to Versailles, again in the rain. Here we are after our tour.

That afternoon we went to the Picasso Museum, which was a bit of a disappointment, especially if you've seen other work by Picasso. We just won't return on our next trip!
