Munich Zoo

On Friday we took the train to Munich. We didn't have any definite plans for the day, maybe a museum, walk around a bit. On the way there, Allen read about the zoo. We decided that Ashlyn would enjoy that much more than a museum, so we headed to the zoo for the afternoon. Ashlyn LOVES to see the animals, so even though we arrived at the zoo around nap time, she stayed awake the entire time. By the time we left, she was lying down in her stroller, but still getting out to look at each of the animals.

After the zoo, we walked around Munich a bit, had dinner, and headed home on the train.

Ashlyn had her own little seat on the train this time.

She looks sooooo big since May! I can't believe it! The zoo looked like alot of fun. And, I loved the pics of making friends and not making friends. The animal world is too funny, and too close, to the human world sometimes....reminded me of William at times.

Awwww! She is adorable. That zoo looks wonderful. Was that the famous polar bear cub?

What a fun day it must have been. Ashlyn looks so much older in the train picture...we sure do miss seeing her grow in person.

No, the famous polar bear cub is in Berlin. This was just a polar bear. Many of the animals were right up to the glass or fence, though, so we had good views. A chimp kind of hugged the glass right in front of Ashlyn and scared her.
