Nurnberg Zoo

We took the train to Nurnberg Saturday morning and went to the zoo. Ashlyn has been really fascinated with trains, especially since we've moved here. She thought it was great to ride the train, but was probably more thrilled to wave to the other trains that we passed. We had a good time showing Ashlyn all of the animals, and she liked to point at them, especially the ones which she was already familiar. She calls all bears, "Pooh" and leopards and cheetahs were also "kitties," though we taught her a bit more vicious sound than a "meow." It was a nice day trip. We are excited to go back to Nurnberg to see more of the city.
This seemed strange to me that they would have skulls where the deer left...as a warning????
Ashlyn also really enjoyed the kid area, with the chance to pet goats, (She followed these babies all over the pen. )and play equipment. Ashlyn and Allen on the tram back to the train station.

HEY GUYS! I love to read about all your adventures! We took Nicholas to the Nurnberg Zoo when he was about Ashlyn's age, he did NOT like the goats! Everything else he loved, but not the goats! They were too pushy, I have pictures of him crying when they were near him! I'm so glad you have all your stuff and that life is returning to normal (even if slowly!) Ashlyn absoultely looks SO OLD! WOW! It's amazing what only a few months will do! TTFN! :)

I have a picture of Allen on my desk....when he was about Ashlyn's age....coming down a slide just like the one in your picture. We were in Germany, and had walked to the park. Allen, though.....was going down on his belly.....and hit his mouth, knocking 6 top teeth back (out)into his throat....

He was about 20 months old.....and we had to WALK all the way home with a bleeding, screaming child!!

Ahhh...memories!
