Happy Anniversary to Us!

Today is our 9th anniversary! Though we aren't together this year, we are still celebrating the time we've had together. Our first date was in February 1990. I wanted to post a picture from our first formal (because that picture is the funniest.) I couldn't find it, so instead you are viewing Prom 1992, my junior prom. We were 16 and 17. (Yes, I had to pay to take a sophomore.)
Allen did manage to call me today and send a couple of gifts. The huge bouquet of flowers is from him. The other bouquet is from Laura. They are both beautiful!

How cool! I remember the first date you guys went on! I think mom picked us all up from a football game because you guys were still too young to drive. Maybe it was homecoming? Something like that! :P

Brad's comment reminded me of your first date, Angie....Brad and I sat in the car while Allen walked you up to the door...and THEN we saw him give you a kiss! What a wonderful memory...

Y'all were so cute and nerdy at the same time - (weren't we all back then?) I've been going through old pictures this week and can't believe some of the outfits and the fact that I thought I was cool. What were we thinking?!

I'm glad you like the flowers; I just wish I could do more.

Oh, yes, what a kiss, too. He pecked me on the lips and then ran off the porch back to his mother's van. And, it was a basketball game, Color's Day! Brad was really still a little guy. 11 or 12, I think?

Okay, ya'll....it was VERY SWEET. But I do think that Brad and I laughed in surprise!

I could tell that Allen was IN LOVE from that time on!
