Surprises

Just after putting Ashlyn down for her morning nap, we saw these moose in our yard. I snapped a few pictures from the porch. They really just stopped when they realized that I wasn't going out to them. We've had quite a few moose sightings in the past couple of days. Exciting.

Mom and I were running a couple of errands later this morning. When we came back we were all eating take-out, when Dad just kind of mentions that Ashlyn can walk. Um. Big news! This should have been shouted the moment we walked in the door. But, no, this was, "oh, by the way, your baby took her first steps this morning." I immediately got up from the table and said show me, show me! Now, I wouldn't say that Ashlyn is walking. She only takes a couple of steps at a time, and they are very unsteady, generally followed by going to her knees and crawling the rest of the way. But, Ashlyn has taken her first steps! She will just get better. Yeah!
