The Hissiest of Hissy Fits

I don't know why I'm crying, either!

As much as I love Ashlyn and enjoy playing with Ashlyn and seeing everything she can do, I still look forward to nap time. I can get a few things done and, some days, I can take a nap myself. This was one of those days when getting things done would have come after my own nap. She didn't nap at her regular time. She didn't nap when I tried later. She ended up taking about a 30 minute nap 3 hours after her regular time. Then, she proceeded to throw a fit. I put her on the carpet in the living room. She flung herself forward, crying. She kicked her feet. She stood upright and flung herself forward a few more times, and she screamed some more. I don't know what's wrong with her, besides tired. Even now, with her major fit over, she is fake crying over every little thing and throwing smaller tantrums. Now, I'm just looking forward to bed time. Hmm. It's not yet 5. A little too early yet.

Oh, Ranger just told me Daddy isn't coming home!

Oh I'm so sorry. What a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. (that is the title of a book we had when we were little) Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Hi Angie! We went camping with Hannah and Hayes this weekend - today I stayed home to recuperate but Vicki was able to get up and go to work! I don't know how she does it! We went to Devils Den State Park near Winslow, AR. We had a great time especially in the pool! Vicki went in to! Vikci has been on a very successful diet and was brave enough to get into her swim suit and get in the water too! Someone had to stay out of the water and take picures of everybody so I took on that job. Our pictures that we ordered from your trip to Hawaii was waiting for us when we returned from the campling trip. You all look great! Ashlyn makes some very funny faces in those pictures! Ashlyn's mood in the recent pictures you posted is the extreme opposite of her happy days with Mom and Dad in Hawaii! We have 12 pictures including 3 - 8x10's and 1 B&W of Ashlyn that I really like (clenched fist excitment). There was an article in the AR Dem-Gaz Sunday paper about Allen's extended deployment. Front page.
The story is recognized as important which it is and, I think, that is good.
Angie we miss you all!

Oh my. Now surely this is like a one off thing, right? This isnt something that would like happen alot, say, with my kids? I better start reading the damn manual. They do come with a manual, right?

Of course babies come with a manual - you and Christal are the authors! Better start taking notes about what you learn from everybody you know that has children (you can glean a lot of good stuff from Angie's blog site). Start writing that manual today! Love, Bob/Dad/Pawpaw

Okay, so I have to say it...I have been holding back. I think Ash looks so cute and funny having her little tantrum. I know it is not your typical response but it is me we are talking about.
If I was there I would laugh at her or better yet have a fake tantrum myself. She wouldn't know what to do.:) I love that age!!!

Obviously, I thought it was kind of funny, too, or I wouldn't have taken pictures. :)

I hate days like that. I just want to scream but I know that will do no good. I know how you feel. I am sorry. Maybe tomorrow will be much better.
