I am posting again. Don't expect things to continue to happen this frequently. I just wanted to share pictures from Bob and Vicki's visit (Paw-Paw and Grandma to Ashlyn.) They came during the best winter month. First of all, it is warming up, which is nice, though the temps were -30 one morning. Still better than say January. Plus, a lot was going on with Fairbanks winter festival. So, in addition to getting to see their adorable granddaughter, they were able to do a few things right around here.

Paw-Paw and Grandma at the entrance to the Ice Park.
We went to the World Ice Art Competition. We were able to see the artists' working on their ice creations, and the finished products. They have a children's park as well, with slides and ice houses.

Paw Paw and Grandma in front of the outhouse Old Faithful.
The next day we went to dog sled races. Ashlyn loved the dogs! She would get so excited when they started running.

We had a great time before they headed back to Arkansas.
I forgot one of the best things. We were also able to see northern lights while they were here. Vicki was so excited that she dropped her toothbrush and ran downstairs to go outside. It was an incredible display, though. One of the best that I've seen in our three winters here.

WOW again! But let me offer my definition of warmer in Fairbanks -outside it's COLD; inside the house it's warm, i.e. warmer...!
Awesome!! Love the blog....Ashlyn has changed since I last saw her. She is growing up!!
Ang - very cool. If it's as easy as you say it is to blog, I may have to start now that little Bo is here. Keep it up.
It's definitely easier then our website. More like writing an email with pictures.
Ok, warmer means that we had a low of -30, rather than a high of -30. Much better than January, when hibernation is necessary. No ice fog.
Angie, You are so right about if
-30 is a high or a low! - Pawpaw
