New Blog

Smiling Ashlyn
We had/have a website. I took a class two years ago where I created the website using Dreamweaver and fireworks programs. I thought it was pretty cool, though not super user friendly (to navigate or create.) We have lots of pictures on it, a tour of our house, trips we took with family. It was fun. But definitely too difficult for me to update frequently. At this point, I would need to pull out my two thick books about Dreamweaver and fireworks in order to update any portion of the site. My last update was in August 2004. I remember, because I announced that I had a new nephew. Jacob is now nearly 20 months old. Since the last update, we got pregnant, Allen took command of a company, we traveled to Arkansas twice, had the baby, more people came to visit us, Allen deployed to Iraq, and the baby is 9 months old today. So, I felt that a change was needed in how I kept everyone up to date. If you didn't know about the previously mentioned events, you are now updated. My goal will be to update this site a couple of times a week. I am still figuring out the whole blog thing, but will hopefully be able to do better on this. Since we will not be moving closer to family (more news, we are moving to Germany next fall/winter), I wanted to do better on keeping things up. Plus, this way I don't have to flood your inboxes with pictures. I am not original with writing, so the title is boring. More accurately, it could have been titled, What new thing is Ashlyn doing today? Or, at this point, How much do I miss my husband? So, here goes.

Do chickens know they have a beak?

I miss Allen more than I can say, though I will be with him in Hawaii in less than 2 weeks!
Ashlyn started clapping her hands yesterday! It was so cute. I was so excited, and she just kept clapping while I did.

What about chickens?

(anonymous brought up chickens - I don't know who anonymous is so I'm reluctant to cross the road for that discussion)

I can imagine you and Ashlyn clapping your hands and having a great time - wish I was there! And I envy you getting to see Allen - I keep thinking about the next time I get to see him and how happy I will be...!

I'm sure going to North Dakota will be just as nice as going to Hawaii. Hmmm. Well, maybe not, but does it really matter where you are when it's been so long since you've seen them?

The website is www.arctichawg.com
There is a link to it on my profile as well.

Hey Angie,
I love the pic of Ashlyn and you on the ice slide. How cold was it that day? Well, it doesn't really matter. I'm sure you will warm up in Hawaii. Have fun!

I'm not sure the temp that day. Even though it was down to -3o one morning, it warmed up to at least above 0 every day.
